Bearing nuts are used to fix bearings on the shaft or on the adapter sleeve. Nuts up to the size of 40 are marked as KM and have a metric thread. Over this size they are marked as HM and have a trapezoidal thread. They have 4 or 8 slots on the circumference. Dimensions of bearing nuts comply with the DIN 981 and ISO 2982-2 standards.
