ZUM is a production company specializing in the manufacture of bearing accessories. The company was formed in 1973 by Wacław Gruchot and initially manufactured car parts and provided transportation services. Gradually, ZUM’s business focused on more advanced and precise products such as, for instance, combine harvester parts and machine tool parts.


In 1990 the owner of the company launched production of rolling bearing accessories: conic H adapter sleeves, AH withdrawal sleeves, KM and HM bearing nuts, MB locking washers and other products. The company began to specialize in bearing accessories. Traditional machine tools were replaced with numerically controlled machines. ZUM introduced technical improvements, designed and made special holders, unique cutting and measuring tools.


Currently the company is owned by the founder’s family and continues to manufacture bearing accessories. In 2008 it introduced a quality management system in compliance with the ISO 9001:2000 standard. The products are sold to a few dozen Polish customers and chain stores of very big companies of international renown. High quality is ensured by experienced, highly qualified staff, modern machines and manufacturing technologies. The company uses devices covered by current patent claims.
